A note from Amy Burns, Director of G:em

G:em in no way replaces the fantastic work you are consistently doing with your girls BUT hopefully we can be a little bit of extra help to you and supplement what you are doing. Single sex youth work has loads of benefits and specific girls ministry can often be a great catalyst for girls in their relationship with God. I speak from experience having been a youth worker for six years but also from being a part of a girls ministry project as a teenager myself.

So, first things first – if you’re female YOU are always welcome to our events, in fact, we would love it if you came along with your girls and enjoyed the chance to just have fun with them without the concern of leading programme. If you’re not female then we’re sorry but obviously our event doors are shut to you. You may want to find a female leader to accompany your girls but this isn’t necessary as there are always members of the G:em team at events with the specific purpose of looking out for girls who are there alone or without leaders.

Our events are designed for girls aged 11 upwards (i.e. school year 7) and whilst there is Christian content, it is of an introductory style so these events are therefore a great opportunity for new or not yet Christian girls to find out more.
